Maintenance Plan – VN/87plus
The recommended maintenance schedule must be followed as described below to ensure highest safety standard for your engine operation. The maintenance schedule is precautionary in relation to technical problems. The VN/87plus system requires service by authorized personnel in sequence of every 2 years (4 years for replacement by exchange unit) to ensure that the entire oil mist detector installation meet the makers requirements.
NOTE: All maintenance steps should be performed while engine is stopped!

Exchange pool: If Authorized Service Personnel (ASP) cannot be utilized for any reason on 24 months or 16 000 hrs. and 48 months or 32 000 hrs. maintenance, the Exchange Pool (EXP) with replacement of complete oil mist detector unit is provided as a component replacement option only and does not cover the need for service performed by Authorized Service Personnel (ASP). All inspection, installation and verification of the Oil Mist Detector (OMD) piping system must be carried out in accordance with the Engine Protection Partner/Schaller Automation instructions and by qualified/authorized ASP. Engine Protection Partner AS and Schaller Automation accept no liability for failures, damages, or consequences resulting from non-compliance with these requirements. Note that engine manufacturer service personnel are not authorized as ASP.
